Colour Theory/G&D2 + WF
The course starts with an experience- and perception-based approach to the topic of colour and encourages individual, playful observations and experiments with colours and materials from the very beginning. The practical handling of colours according to their effects, their materiality and their mutual interaction is dealt with in a sequence of exercises that are carried out independently to accompany a series of impulse lectures. This phenomenological approach is intended to promote the development of a personal attitude towards colour from the very beginning. In addition, colour-theoretical basics, compositional aspects and colour space models are dealt with in order to systematically substantiate and expand the hitherto intuitive approach. In times of COVID-19, we pursue a hybrid teaching approach that combines digital meetings with workshops in presence in order to be able to discuss haptic as well as spatial qualities of colour in dialogue.
